This was a special concept and collaboration for me. I have always been a huge fan of fantasy. I love nothing more than to escape into the pages of a book filled with magic and whimsical creatures. I set out to design a fantasy character with a modern twist. This meant moving away from the traditional color palette and design language typically seen in fantasy.

There are no castles. No dragons. No long arduous journeys to save mankind. Not anymore. The humans have taken every wild sacred space and built their cities on the bone and ash of magickind. The few magical beings left, with no where else to go, chose to blend into human society. Enter the Faun. Faun has acclimated to city living and appears… almost human. Almost. He spends his days roaming the twisted and confusing cityscape collecting the odd bits and scraps lost to the gutter. He is a finder. An observer. A knower of things. Faun may even share his knowledge with you… for a price.

I love collaborating with @cryptidfool because I know that they can take my concept and add their personal flare to it. Not only by way of modeling but creating unique costumes. It is important to me that everything hints at the bigger story. Faun is a collector. Stories, names, abandoned things. It is all the same to him.

I have plans to expand on this character and make a 3 minute short.
