This year I was given the opportunity to work on a special project with Heartstoppers Haunted House decorating the Leland Stanford Mansion for their Halloween tours. I assisted by painting wilted flowers, assembling floral arrangements, tying 50+ feet of garland, painting and distressing artificial food to look rotten, spiderweb placement and lastly assisting with the design plan for each of the rooms. It was an exciting challenge working around the original Victorian furnishings and finding creative ways to decorate without risk of damaging this historic home.
